Circle of Security Parenting Workshop
The Circle of Security (CoS) is an eight-week program for parents, designed to optimise secure attachment between parents and their children, and to foster healthy emotional regulation, resilience and a positive sense of self.

The CoS program has developed from over five decades of research about how security is supported. It is based on principles that we all are hardwired to feel secure, that babies naturally seek security and caregivers want to provide security.

Upstream health’s Circle of Security group is facilitated by clinical psychologist Tim Fischer. Tim has a special interest in working with families; helping caregivers develop secure attachment with children to give those children the best possible foundation for their future development.

This highly interactive group helps participants to see what is often hidden in plain sight, to understand and read their children and strive to be good (not perfect) parents.

Part of what makes parenting difficult is that children don’t come with an instruction manual…
Another way to look at it is the children are the instruction manual”
